Dreams Delivered

On April 30th, I volunteered for the "Dreams Delivered" program of Evanston. Dreams Delivered provides prom dresses, jewelry, and accessories to senior girls at Evanston Township High School, to help them with the cost of attending their prom. Pivot Point was the backstage crew and gave the girls a little taste of what we would offer them if they decided to come into our salon the day of their prom. All the girls looked fabulous and were so enthused about getting their hair and makeup done. One of the girls I primped was telling me about how happy she is about studying music at DePaul. She didn't consider herself a "girly girl" and kept thanking me after every curl that dropped from my flat iron...what a cutie.

It's kind of funny how time flies. I was once in her seat (getting glam for prom), telling my stylist my big dreams about college, asking her for advice on life, thanking her for making me feel cared for. They say hair artists are like therapists. It's kind of true. I know I'm no owl of wisdom, but I do love me a good story. Cheers to being young!!! So glad I participated <3
